On 12 October, Procure2Innovate will team up with Urban Agenda and AI4Cities to host the EWRC session “Public procurement specialists meet the market – market engagement strategies and the example of AI.”
Public authorities are increasingly realising that public procurement can be a strategic tool to drive innovation. A key aspect of a successful public procurement of innovation is to encourage innovative (small and medium-sized) companies to bid for tenders. This requires innovative approaches to market engagement.
These projects have all gathered practical experience in engaging the market such innovative ways and want to share their resources and knowledge with the audience. Their practical experience will be complemented by the scientific perspective of Willem Janssen, Associate Professor at the Utrecht University.
Input from attendees will be highly appreciated. There will be a lot of interaction and no PowerPoint presentations! Participants are also very welcome to ask us questions on social media: Questions can be sent to @AI4CitiesEU, @Procureinno or @ICLEI_Procure.
