The Procure2Innovate Network has just released a new document to guide those interested in setting up a competence centre for innovation procurement. The guide, based on three peer-to-peer exchange workshops between existing and to-be-established competence centres, is based on real experiences and lessons learnt.
The document takes the reader step-by-step through the creation of a competence centre for innovation procurement, starting with the basics and working towards more advanced requirements. It outlines the concept of a competence centre for innovation procurement, identifies the basics that need to be covered to get started, outlines actions that can be taken to establish credibility and earn trust from public procurers, and prioritises the action that need to be taken when the competence centre starts operation.
What is your ambition and scope? Who is your target group? What is the minimum set of services that you would like to offer? What your KPIs and evaluation standards? These are some of the questions also covered in the guide, that will be presented next October, 12, at the event Benchmarking of national innovation procurement investments and policy frameworks across Europe.
