Save the date of 12 October for a workshop on Europe-wide benchmarking of national innovation procurement investments

Interested to know how much the public sector in your country invests in adopting innovative solutions compared to other countries, and in which sectors they invest the most (ICT, health, transport, etc.)? Keen to know if your country already has an action plan, target, financial incentives and a competence center for boosting innovation procurement? Save the date for the 12 October workshop that will present the final results of the Europe-wide benchmarking of national innovation procurement investments and policy frameworks.

DG CNECT invites buyers, public authorities, companies and all relevant stakeholders to save the date of 12 October 2020 for the final workshop of the study SMART 2016/0040 that benchmarked the national policy frameworks and expenditure on innovation procurement across Europe.

First results on the benchmarking of the 2018 national innovation procurement policy frameworks were already published in 2019. The workshop will present the final results of the policy framework and investment benchmarking, that includes an analysis of innovation procurement investments across different sectors of public interest (e.g. health, transport, security etc.) and strategic expenditure categories, in particular ICT, that fuel public sector modernisation. The workshop is planned to take place in online webinar format.
