Do you need support to implement a Pre-Commercial Procurement or to procure an innovative solution?

The European Assistance for Innovation Procurement (eafip) has just launched a new call for assistance to public procurers interested in starting a Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) or an Innovation Procurement (PPI) process of ICT-based solutions. The call is open to procurers from public institutions of all EU Member States.

Four criteria will be taken into account when choosing the applications to support:

  • Concrete interest / commitment in starting a PCP/PPI project and maturity of the business case (business case means the business case for the public procurer, i.e. the cost/benefit analysis that justifies the procurer’s investment in the innovation procurement)
  • Potential impact of the PCP/PPI procurement, with priority to high impact ICT solutions (e.g. Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity) and innovation procurements under national digital/ICT strategies.
  • Geographical balance of the cases to be assisted across the EU member states.
  • Lack of experience and existence of prior cases in the implementation of PCP/PPI under the legal system of the country in question.

At least 3 PCP and PPI procurements of high impact ICT solutions will be selected to receive assistance free of charge. The deadline to apply is 15 May 2019.
